Sierra Leone Independence day Celebration 2023

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s that part of the year again, that Sierra Leoneans all over the world gather to celebrate not just our freedom from colonial rulers but sovereignty as a nation. The Sierra Leone Central Union (SLCU Holland) family in the Netherlands will be celebrating our 59th independence day on the 18th of April, 2020. A day that we commemorate the struggle, fight and freedom of our forefathers who did everything that we should be an independent nation from the dominance of Britain/Europe.

So it is time again to retell our stories and celebrate their bravery. Therefore, the SLCU Holland presents to you an independence day symposium where culture will meet culture, and stories of our bravest will be told in order to consolidate the peace and unity of our community in Holland as one people from one country. Siërra Leone, the land of Freedom.
